This odyssey is extended to three days of riding to enable us to experience the full southern route of Gotland. A bike-packing style adventure over two days, including smooth gravel, ocean side paths and some asfalt. The main aim of the event is to get explore the new full route, completing the mission to establish a premium gravel route around the entire island of Gotland.

Who’s in?

We´ve got ten tickets in total for this trip.
You’ll meet and ride with gravel loving, explorers looking for adventure. Experienced cyclists, new gravelistas, bike packers and general two-wheel lovers with smiles on their faces. And anyone in between who enjoy a long day out.

How to get there

The trip to and from Visby is on you. Find your way, ferry or flight, your choice. A smart move is to book a night prior to start somewhere in Visby. And perhaps a stay over when getting back, to be able to enjoy a night out in Visby.

What’s included?

Each day on the bike will be guided by an experience group leader familiar with the route. There may be several groups divided by average speed. Option to switch between groups are open at all times. Groups will intersecting at lunch and stops during the days and of course meet at base camp every day.

The full route will also be published on this page as well as Strava / Ride With GPS before the event.
Throughout the trip, you’ll have a base camp prepared. It will be set up on established camp grounds with all the expected service such as bathrooms, showers, indoor space to hang out, sleep, dry your clothing etc.
After a long day, food and drinks are crucial for recovery. A full dinner and breakfast will be served on or close to base camp. You will be responsible for your arranging your own snacks and drinks to bring with you during the days. Grocery stores will be available close to base camps and on route.

The Rides

Sep 25th

We start from Vai Vai Visby and head west crossing the island, aiming for Katthammarsvik. We follow the coastline all the way down to Ljugarn where we set camp for the night.

sep 26th

Another epic day on the island. We’re heading south, aiming for the very southern tip of Gotland before we circle back up on the west coast. Night camp is in Burgsvik.
Distance: 102,63 km Elevation: 263 m
Sep 27th

After breakfast, we head north. Following the beautiful coastline towards Visby.
Distance: 117,12 km Elevation: 300 m
