This odyssey will take us to the northern part of the island, exploring magic scenery. We will start and finish in Visby. Route will include gravel, paths and some asfalt, avoiding technical parts. The main aim of the event is to get out in nature and explore.

Who’s in?

We´ve got ten tickets in total for this trip.
You’ll meet and ride with gravel loving, explorers looking for adventure. Experienced cyclists, new gravelistas, bike packers and general two-wheel lovers with smiles on their faces. And anyone in between who enjoy a long day out.

How to get there

The trip to and from Visby is on you. Find your way, ferry or flight, your choice. A smart move is to book a night prior to start somewhere in Visby. And perhaps a stay over when getting back, to be able to enjoy a night out in Visby.

What’s included?

Each day on the bike will be guided by an experience group leader familiar with the route. There will be several groups divided by average speed. Option to switch between groups are open at all times. Groups will intersecting at lunch and stops during the days and of course meet at base camp every day.

Throughout this trip, we’ll have a base camp set up for two nights at the classic hostel in Bunge, Fårösund. The quarters are cottage style rooms with shared bathrooms and includes all the expected service such as showers, indoor space to hang out, dry your clothing etc.
After a long day, food and drinks are crucial for recovery. A full dinner and breakfast will be served at base camp. You will be responsible for your arranging your own, snacks and drinks to bring with you during the days. Grocery stores will be available close to base camp.
As a Gravel Odyssey participant you’ll enjoy all the special discouts from our partners prior to the trip.

The Rides

May 29th

We start from Vai Vai Visby heading north following the shore line, going into some technical terrain at first. After passing Lummelunda, the day will be mostly fantastic gravel roads with some asphalt. The finish of the stage is Bunge vandrarhem, our basecamp.

May 30th

After breakfast, we roll down to the Fårösund harbour and take the ferry over to Fårö. A magic day on the bikes, circumnavigating the little island. Great landscapes, rock formations, wildlife, sheep and many gates. We will get the full experience before returning on the ferry.

May 31st

After breakfast and checkout from Bunge Vandrarhem, we head south towards the old industrial peninsula Furilden. Lunch will be close to Slite before we leave the east coast and steer back towards Visby.
