Ramundberget Fjällgrus and Gravel Odyssey invite you to an extended weekend of gravel cycling in the beautiful Funäsfjällen mountains. Tree days of fantastic riding through varied terrain, accompanied by the stunning colors of autumn.
Over the course of these three days, we’ll, among other things, climb up to Flatruet—Sweden’s highest road at 975 meters above sea level—and pass by Sweden’s highest church, Tännäs Church, standing at 648 meters. We’ll experience magical views with Helags Mountain in the foreground, Sylarna on the horizon, as well as marshes, forests, and lakes of all sizes. It is not uncommon to encounter reindeer and mountain cattle along these rides.The evenings offer relaxed hangouts, maybe a dip in the stream, sauna sessions, and fire side chats.
Who’s in?
You'll meet and ride with gravel loving explorers looking for adventure. Experienced cyclists, new gravelistas, bike packers and general outdoor lovers who seek to experience the Swedish mountains on two wheels.
This is a destination event, we sleep, start and finish the rides at the Mountain Lodge in Ramundberget and as for all our odysseys all the gear, supplies and additional water will be carried by our service car and crew along the routes. This will enable full focus on the riding experience on the bike knowing you’ll have full support from the crew when needed.
How to get there
This weekend starts by checkin at Ramundberget Mountain Lodge Thursday evening September 18th. You make your own travel arrangements to Ramundberget and drop in whenever works for you.
The suggested way of transportation is by car, however you can fly info Sveg Airport and get to Ramundberget by bus or taxi.
What’s included?

Each day on the bike will be guided by an experience group leader familiar with the route. There might be several groups divided by average speed. Option to switch between groups are open at all times. Groups will of course meet for lunch on the route and at the lodge for after bike hangout and dinner at the end of every day.

The base camp for the entire weekend will be at the wonderful Ramundberget Mountain Lodge. Standard accommodation is in a shared twin room. Single rooms are available for a supplement of 1,000 SEK.

Long days in the saddle require proper fuel. A ll meals are included. A full breakfast and dinner will be served at the lodge. Lunch and snacks are provided on the route. Maurten products for extra energy will be available during the rides. Alcoholic beverages are not included but can be purchased separately on site.

The Rides

Friday the 19th
We start with a shared breakfast, followed by a briefing about the days ahead with the opportunity to ask questions. Today we’ll ascend Flatruet for lunch and then return to the hotel for after bike hangout, sauna, and dinner. This day offers some asphalt, plenty of gravel, and significant elevation gain.

Saturday the 20th
After breakfast, we roll down to Funäsdalen where we branch off and circle Lake Lossen on magical gravel roads. Lunch will be served halfway before we make our way back to Ramundberget for after bike, sauna, and dinner. This will be a long day in the saddle, but without tough climbs. It is possible to shorten the ride by taking a car to Funäsdalen and joining the group there.

Sunday the 21st
After breakfast, we head down toward Bruksvallarna, then branch off towards Djupdalsvallen along beautiful gravel roads and hilly terrain with plenty of elevation. Coffee will be served before we return to Ramundberget, where we’ll be back before lunch. Lighter sandwiches and showers will be available before departure.

The registration fee is 5000 SEK and is paid upon registration.
The price includes premium guided rides, all meals and after bike snacks, accommodation in a shared twin room. Single rooms are available for a supplement of 1,000 SEK.
